This eight-hour course is a requirement to qualify for down-payment assistance such as Home in 5, HOME Plus, Pathways to Purchase and Home Ready. MYM is available online 24/7. It covers: Pros and cons of renting v. buying Budgeting and credit Your home-buying team – realtor, lender, home inspector, etc. Pre-approval v. pre-qualify for a home loan Finding the right lender Housing affordability and sustainability Closing process and loan costs Loan types Home search Home inspection Foreclosure prevention Home maintenance, improvement and repair Take the Online Course Cost is $100. You must pass with a minimum 70% score to receive the certificate. Note: Contact your lender to determine if this course would fulfill down-payment assistance program requirements.
